Look at that fly.
Scientific name: Diptera. An insect. A feces devouring insect that pesters all of us and destroys the peaceful nature of even the most level-headed human.
Yuck.
Closely related to butterflies, the fly is a super-pollinator second only to bees. They also, with their garbage-loving predilection, help with decomposition of waste materials. Some help to control other pests.
And I see beauty. Look at those eyes – and the metallic green of its body.
That little creature, with its sadly short lifespan, is a miracle.
Can you imagine how I see the world if I can see beauty in a fly?
